Bio
Flying Giant are a progressive heavy rock band from Coffs Harbour, blending crushing riffs, soaring vocals, intricate musicianship and a powerful live presence. Their sound sits somewhere between Silverchair, Tool, Karnivool and The Butterfly Effect - heavy, dynamic and melodic, with layered guitars and unpredictable arrangements. Recent highlights include winning the 2024 Coffs Coast UNCOVERED competition, headlining the local stage at Tidal Festival, supporting COG, Hammers and Astrodeath, and completing a five-date Japan tour in 2025 across Tokyo, Osaka, Kobe and Kyoto. Their latest single, “Salt the Earth,” marks a leaner, heavier new era, with new material recorded alongside longtime producer Tyson Fish.
